Alexei Tegin “Deep remembering” 2001
“The ego is absent. Consciousness becomes a pure recollection of
pre-individual, pre-social links with the world. The actual meaning of
the action is unclear, yet the liberation of perception brings one back
to the discovery and, respectively, the new foundation of the next
civilization... As I must work in reality, I illustrate THAT dimension/state.
Everything is good for the purposes of illustrating: you only recognize
things instead of creating like an artist would do. The observer clings
to the dead socium. Furthermore, one can understand the disarray of
social bodies that are bound by social ties but which forcibly recognize
themselves. I call the general attribute of comparing essences without
words the “psychic smell”. Thanks to this, the approach to art works
becomes fruitful, i.e. uneasy and negative.”
